Life

Life is such crazy experience. Sometimes the things you like to do go unnoticed for months when it seems like days. I don't have a back log to post, and I probably won't update regularly no matter what I say, but I will post when I come up with something. Thank you to everyone who still views this site, even after the 7 months it has been without a new post. If you have any suggestions or requests please send them my way, maybe it will help ignite a spark of creativity where it is sorely needed.

I noticed a little bit ago that this blog was listed with other new ones on TFCC. I didn't pay too much attention to the listing as I was looking at the rest of the list, however upon seeing it again this is how it reads,

. Absolutely love it, although if this is the death metal blog of TG I wonder what sites like Isobelle's Dungeon rate as..... Anyway, just ranting, thank you all for the comments, more caps to follow. Also, as many will already know, Fictionmania comes back online (officially) in about 2 days.

Area Code 420

Today is a very wonderful day. I was going to dedicate a caption to it but I just couldn't come up with an idea that wasn't demeaning. This may be because I am doing what I can to celebrate my second favorite day of the year, or it may be because that was really good wine earlier, or maybe there's another reason the other two reasons are confusing...... Who the hell knows. But whether you celebrate this holiday, hate today, or don't have a clue what the hell is special about it, I hope you enjoy yourself thoroughly with or without help. Ficionmania

This is a copy/paste of the newest info on FM from the TGF group.

Mindy has made quite a bit of progress on rewriting the fm code to run on the new server.



We are very close now. With Talea and Mindy working together, and the support from Glamour boutique, fm will rise again. It is probably only a matter of days until the grand re-opening.

Here's the newest FM update from the TGF group.


"Hello again,

Talea has stated that there is mainly just one software problem holding up the completion of the new fm server. When that is taken care of, (if you have ever worked with software you know you can not predict accurately when it will be complete), fm should be returned to us. Talea has been in contact with the software company and they are working on the problem.

Of course, with any new system, there will be some glitches. Let us all hope that they are minor and easily fixed.

Fictionmania

This is a copy and paste about the status of fictionmania.com from the TGF group. It was posted on Feb. 15

"As was stated last Sunday, the old files from the defunct server were salvaged and were transferred to the new machine. Since the old server was in another country and no Task Force member could go to extract the files personally, retreving the files was no small endeavor.

Now, the several different software packages installed on the new machine have to be massaged to make them work together seamlessly. Talea has put in many hours over the last week to debug the system.

Mindy has put in the request to have the www.fictionmania.com url point to the new server. If everything went through properly, you should be able to access the opening test page within a couple of days. If it does not get moved to the new server by the end of the week, we will have to wait a couple of weeks for Mindy to return from a business trip to straigthen out that problem.

Moving slower than anyone likes (especially the Task Force members), but, we are making progress.

So I'm having a lot of fun with this, and meeting a lot of similar minded people in the process. Thank you all for viewing my blog, and letting me view yours. Here we go

OK, here is my first attempt at a caption blog, as well as my first time using blogger. What this means to me is, things on this site will only get better from here.
